ConnectedApart is the world’s first platform dedicated to helping people stay connected with the children they love when they’re apart.
Through an innovative ‘idea-to-action’ platform for collaborative consumption and on the basis of its unique APART Model, ConnectedApart offers individuals and families a range of free products and services to suit their personal experience of being apart – and, therefore, helps them stay connected with the children they love in their own special way.
ConnectedApart also supports businesses and other organizations in getting the best from their respective workforces, with solutions to help their personnel stay connected with the children they love while they’re on business travel or longer-term deployments. These solutions are critical to the success of employee wellness and wellbeing initiatives, the mission or the business trip and, therefore, to overall organizational performance. Unfortunately, while the link between organizational performance and helping one’s personnel stay connected with the children they love while they’re on business travel or longer-term deployments has been known for some time, no dedicated service provider has existed to help businesses and other organizations develop solutions. Until now.
ConnectedApart was founded by Jared Rigg in 2018:
- Jared has spent over half his life away from the children he loves: first as a management consultant travelling the globe and then as an officer with the United Nations, supporting numerous conflict-affected countries around the world.
- During this time, he’s experienced both the joy and the heartache of trying to stay connected with the children he loves when apart – and seen others go through the same rollercoaster of a journey.
- After a one year deployment to a war zone and his ensuing struggle to find a ‘one-stop-shop’ for practical, easy to implement ideas and solutions to stay connected with his daughter and son, Jared recognised the need for a different approach.
- So, in 2018, Jared founded ConnectedApart: to help others stay connected to the children they love when they’re apart.
- In addition to nearly two decades of professional service as a management consultant and an officer with the United Nations, Jared has advanced academic qualifications, with distinction, in both management and communication studies.
